Abstract

The mechanical properties of sintered 75%w Cu-25%w Ni were studied as a function of briquetting pressure, sintered temperature and time. Double pressing and resintering at 1120 degree C for 30 minutes results in elongation of up to 45%. Due to internal stresses, the product properties are controlled by strain-activated enhanced diffusion.
