Improved regula falsi method for solving the Schrödinger equation with a piecewise constant potential

Abstract

An improved regula falsi scheme is introduced for the solution of the Schrödinger equation with stepped potentials. The scheme significantly reduces the number of iterations needed for eigenvalue evaluations.
