Abstract
Experiments on a fired engine, showed that the performances of a two-stroke crankcase-scavenged engine may be improved significantly, at low engine speeds, by installing a fluid diode at its inlet port. Predictions showed that a further improvement may be achieved by installing a fluid diode at the scavenge port.
