Abstract
The InAs/InP quantum dash semiconductor optical amplifiers operating in the 1550 nm wavelength range were discussed. The transverse waveguide was found to be defined by a 4.5 μm-wide ridge and the device length was 2.1 mm. The four wave-mixing (FWM) with CW signals at large detunings with a symmetric conversion efficiency response was also demonstrated.
