Abstract

Omega and chiral particles are appropriate to construct artificial materials which have bi-anisotropic electromagnetic properties. The induced currents as a result of an arbitrary oriented incident plane wave on omega and chiral particles are investigated in this paper. The direction of the induced currents and the equivalent lumped circuits are discussed here. This paper shows that illumination of the chiral/omega particle from different directions produces complicated current distributions which should be treated accurately.
