Inhomogeneous Anisotropic Subwavelength Structures for the Excitation of Single Hollow Waveguide Modes

Abstract

We propose a general approach for coupling a free space uniformly polarized beam to a desired hollow waveguide mode, thus enabling a single mode operation. Required polarization manipulations are achieved by inhomogeneous anisotropic subwavelength structures.
