Abstract
A thermodynamic theory that explains the observed temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of the antiferromagnetism of magnetic fluids at low temperatures is proposed. The phase transition to the antiferromagnetic state is preceded by the formation of chains of magnetic particles bound by dipole-dipole interaction.
