Abstract

A method for the measurement of a minute activity of a short-lived nuclide embedded in longer-lived higher activity matrix was developed. The method is based on the findings that the ratio of the activities of two γ lines is independent of the dead-time. Another method of mathematical correction was also checked and found to be quite accurate.
