Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the intertester reliability of static muscle resistance measurements in children with cerebral palsy using a simple uniaxial dynamometer. Resitance to dorsiflexion was measured in supine and prone lying positions. A fair to high interrater reliability was achieved, and significant differences between the test positions were demonstrated. The results suggest that dynamometry of the kind described here is a reliable method for recording static muscle resistance in children with cerebral palsy.
