Abstract
An investigation was made of the kinetics of the side reactions in processes forming light hydrocarbons and coke on dehydrogenating isobutane to isobutylene, and the kinetics of the main reaction in the transient range on aluminum-platinum catalysts with and without additions of tin and indium. In the dehydrogenation reaction the activity begins to fall after accumulating a certain quantity of coke. The influence of promoters on the reactions studied is considered.
