Abstract
The existence of a novel inwards propagating wave motion occurring outside the relaxation oscillator regime was discussed. A system in a limit-cycle regime was studied for its dynamic behaviour for the purpose. The FitzHugh-Nagumo and modified Chernyak-Starobin-Cohen reaction-diffusion systems were analysed for feasability of the phenomena and some of its features.
