Abstract

Heterophase materials consisting of alternating strips of a semiconductor and a metal and possessing thermo-emf aanisotropy have been synthesized. The dependences of the thermo-emf coefficient and the resistivity on the angle of inclination and relative width of the metal strips are determined for these heterophase materials. It is shown that in order to obtain a heterophase material with high thermoelectric parameters the metal must have a high electric conductivity.
