Abstract
Using the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) method on **1H, **2**7Al and **2**3Na nuclei, a study was made of samples of dry sodium aluminate and sodium hydro aluminate obtained from low-modulus aluminate solutions. It was established that proton-containing groupings in the composition of the samples are present mainly in the form of hydroxide groups. In the sodium hydroaluminate precipitates a compound of composition Na//2(HO)//3AlOAl(OH)//3 is dominant, but the phases NaOH and NaAl(OH)//4 are also present (both in the form of a solution), as well as up to 10 wt. % of anhydrous NaAlO//2, which is a product of a high-temperature phase transition.
