Judaeophobia: fear of Judaism in Israeli culture

The article deals with the fear, expressed intensely in Israeli culture and heard by secular people, that Judaism, meaning the Jewish religion, will erase their identity. This fear is part of Israeli secularism its image of Judaism and secularism, the awareness of its strength, weakness and uniqueness. To find out, it will look at the texts of Israeli intellectuals. This study is referred to here as “phenomenological” because its essence lies in the effort to express the consciousness of its writers and their experiences, as they are. A fundamental detail is that Judaism is often presented in a psychological image, as the Israeli unconsciousness. It is a kind of volcanic force that rumbles in the depths and threatens the Israeli secular identity, which is only apparently stable.
