Abstract

This article presents a survey of scholarly findings of the interactions between rabbinic and Syriac sources. The texts reveal a remarkably diverse picture of the interactions between the two textual traditions. The article also argues that studies into the textual interactions between rabbinic and Christian Syriac sources have great potential to add to our understanding of historical interactions between the two communities in the Late Antique East.
