Abstract

This poster describes the successful development and implementation of an approach to getting junior high school students to study and deal with advanced topics in image processing. The students had no prior knowledge in image processing nor in computer science. Our instructional approach can be briefly outlined by four steps. Early results of the study show that the students succeeded to perform challenging tasks and to deal with a variety of advanced topics in image processing.
