Kinetic effects on the stability of two-phase flows

Abstract

The effect of the velocity distrubution function of a suspension in two-phase flow is investigated. The resulting dispersion relation indicates that the class of non-monotonically decreasing initial distribution functions might give rise to unstable oscillation.
