Abstract
1. (1) Using a number of models we have analysed the main features of the kinetics of cooperative processes and have given an explanation of certain experimental facts concerning the kinetics of denaturing of biopolymers. 2. (2) Arguments are given in support of the essential role of the hydration shell in stabilizing the structure of biopolymers and in the kinetics of the configurational transformation of biopolymers.
