Abstract
The eosin-caseine complex has been used to study the role of protein matrix during charge photo-separation. The kinetics of the react on of electron transfer photosensitized with free eosin in solution and eosin sorbed on caseine in the system donor (cysteine)-acceptor (methylviologen) has bee studied. It is shown that on sorption of eosin on protein the ratio of the probability of irreversible forward electron transfer from donor to the excited sensitizer to the reversible rises by more than one order.
