Abstract
A large-scale synthetic procedure to get Te nanowires of high aspect ratio has been explored. A small-scale reaction condition was established for getting uniform Te nanowires. When the reactants were concentrated by 5 times compared to the small-scale reaction, Te nanowires were not produced. When the surfactant to precursor ratio (S/P) was lowered in a concentrated condition, corn-like Te nanorods were formed. On the other hand, a large-scale reaction with the same concentration of the small-scale reaction affords large amount uniform Te nanowires in a condition that the reducing agentwas added slowly for more than 30 min.
