Abstract

The Planetary Geology Field Conference on Aeolian Processes was held in Southern California on 10–14 January 1978. This meeting brought researchers involved in the study of wind-related landforms on Mars together with experts in field and laboratory studies of aeolian features on Earth. This seminal field conference established a pattern that has recently been continued through a series of International Planetary Dunes Workshops.
