Abstract
Theory of linear deformation dichroism of U-band of pair chromium(III) centre in a cubic crystal is developed. In terms of the effective Hamiltonian method both crystal fields and resonance migration of excitation between centres have been taken into account. First three moments of U-band are calculated with accounting of static interactions, Jahn-Teller crystal modes and also tetragonal and rhombic distortions. It is shown that the polarisation dichroism method allows to determine the effective parameters of electron-phonon interaction upon deformation changings of moments.
