Abstract

The long-range spin-spin coupling of CH₃-H³′ through space, observed in the PMR spectrum of 3-methyl-2-(2′-furyl)pyrrole, testifies to the planar (or nearly planar) conformation of this system with a syn arrangement of the heteroatoms.
