Abstract

Equations are obtained for the dynamic behavior of the mean magnetization in a variable magnetic field. The properties of the linearized version of these equations are examined together with the formulae for the dynamic susceptibility and absorption of power which follow. The results are compared with phenomenological theories by the linear response method of Kubo and the methods of commutator and temperature Green's functions.
