Abstract

Measurements of magnetization, magnetoresistance and ferromagnetic resonance were carried out at various temperatures, on as-deposited and annealed samples of granular films of Au0.7(NiFe)0.3. It was found that the as-deposited films exhibit a superparamagnetic-like behavior and a negative magnetoresistance up to a temperature of 120 K. Samples annealed at 673 K for 30 min exhibit a ferromagnetic behavior up to 300 K. The ferromagnetic resonance measurements show isotropic magnetic properties for the as-deposited films and a significant anisotropy in the field-depended magnetization for the annealed films.
