Abstract

We present XRD, 1H and 13C NMR and EPR characterization of nanodiamond samples fabricated using laser treatment of carbon soot. We show that the samples are of high quality and nearly metal- and graphite-free. Variations in the EPR spectra and 13C nuclear spin-lattice relaxation times with increased grain size are obtained.
