Abstract
Obesity during pregnancy is considered a high risk state because it is associated with many serious complications jeopardizing maternal and fetal well being. When consulted pre-conceptionaly patients should be informed about the possible complications during pregnancy associated with obesity and strongly encouraged to lose weight prior to conceiving.
