Abstract

The nuclear spin-lattice relaxation time T//1 of protons in Mg//2NiH//4 was measured and determined the hydrogen diffusion parameters were determined, yielding an activation energy E//a equals 10. 6 plus or minus 0. 4 kcal mol** minus **1 (0. 46 plus or minus 0. 02 eV) and a jump attempt frequency nu //o equals 6. 6 multiplied by 10**1**3 Hz in the temperature region 210 - 480 K.
