Abstract
The DC resistivity and differential resistance were measured as functions of temperature, magnetic fields and current flow in three epitaxial La 0.7Ca0.03MnO3 films grown on (001) SrTiO 3 substrates. These films had thickness of 70, 22 and 9 nm at Curie temperatures of 263, 254 and 220 K, respectively. It was found that the magnetoresistance and electroresistance effects correlate with prevailing magnetic ground states of considered films. The film thickness, having an uncertainty of ∼10%, was estimated from the deposition time.
