Abstract
Molecular dynamic effects in cotton fibres were examined by means of fluorescent and phosphorescent probes. The free energies of activation of molecular motion exhibited marked microheterogeneity. Changes in the luminescence parameters as a function of temperature were found to be similar for fibres from wilt-infected plants and from healthy plants.
