Abstract
We have applied the object-oriented programming approach for Monte Carlo simulation of laser and maser processes. Both conventional laser model and micromaser have been studied. Basic objects such as single atom, atomic system, and cavity mode have been implemented as C++ classes. The behavior of the objects is governed by quantum mechanics of a single atom. Pumping mechanism and field decay are implemented through appropriate random processes. For conventional laser model, a wide range of regimes, from the adiabatic regime up to the bad cavity limit, have been studied. The results are in agreement with well-known laser theories. The micromaser model has been simulated as well.
