Abstract

The moraxella bacillus is known to be a benign host of the conjunctiva and of the upper respiratory tract, which has rarely been the cause of a disease. It has never been known to cause purulent pericarditis which is a well known complication of sepsis caused by various bacteria. This is the first case report (44 yr old woman) of moraxella pericarditis.
