abstract = "Motion of a pendulum with damping and vibrating axis of suspension is considered at unconventional values of parameters. Case when the frequency of external loading and the natural frequency of the pendulum in the absence of this loading are of the same order is studied. Vibration intensity is assumed to be relatively low. In this case, the corresponding equation of the pendulum's motions doesn't involve an explicit small parameter. To solve the equation a new modification of the method of direct separation of motions is used. As the result, stability conditions of the pendulum inverted position are determined. Effects of damping on these conditions are discussed.",
