Abstract

An on-line data acquisition system for monitoring high resolution multidimensional spectra within the memory confines of a small computer is described. The system has been applied in a study of ¹²⁸I states produced by the (p, n, γ-γ) reaction. The half-life of the 133.4 keV state in ¹²⁸I is determined to be T_{1 2}=(12.3±0.5) ns.
