Multiparameter data acquisition and analysis in nuclear reaction on-line measurements

Abstract

An on-line data acquisition system for monitoring high resolution multidimensional spectra within the memory confines of a small computer is described. The system has been applied in a study of 128I states produced by the (p, n, γ-γ) reaction. The half-life of the 133.4 keV state in 128I is determined to be T 1 2=(12.3±0.5) ns.
