Abstract

The study of multipeak pulse x-ray diffraction study of shocked single crystals was presented. The development of corresponding mathematical expressions for screen (detector) positions of the reflections produced by both strained and unstrained crystals were also reported. The expression were used to interpret the multipeak diffraction patterns obtained from NaCl single crystals both unloaded and shock-compressed after the shock compression.
