Abstract
It is demonstrated in the paper, that unlike the Archard model the temperature distribution calculated by means of the sources obtained by the Monte Carlo method, is monotonic and showing the tendency to the maximum formation with increasing diameter. The comparison of the data calculated on heat source distribution and temperatures with the results obtained by the Archard and Gauss models shows that in a number of cases and in the range of small diameters of the electron beam, in particular, the calculations should be carried out with account taken of the most accurate spatial distribution of the electron energy losses.
