Necessary conditions for density classification by cellular automata

Abstract

A study for density classification of a binary-state cellular automata (CA) was performed. Two necessary conditions that a CA must satisfy were also discussed. It was proved that criteria of the density of the initial configuration must be conserved over time and the rule table must exhibit a density of 0.5.
