Abstract

Negative energy solutions are obtained for the onedimensional Schrödinger equation with an inverted delta potential. Several boundary conditions are treated and the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions calculated. It is shown that there are either a single or at most two eigenvalues for each boundary condition. Consequently this example can be used as a device to compare different physical models.
