Abstract
The article discusses special usages of two words occurring in newly published texts from Qumran: (1) עקר 'by', 'alongside', a usage known from Aramaic; and (2) פצפץ 'scatter', a usage attested in biblical Hebrew (Job 16:12) according to some early authorities.
