Abstract

The mostly used nitroxides in biology and medicine are a group of heterocyclic nitroxide derivatives of piperidine, pyrroline, and pyrrolidine. The nitroxides are served as antioxidants and drugs for cancers, neurodegenerativity (Parkinson, Alzheimer, and others diseases), ischemia, obesity, radiation damage, age-related degeneration, immunomodulatory patology, oxidative stress, inflammation, etc.
