Abstract

An overview is given on the synthesis and the magnetic behavior of a new μ3-oxo-bridged heterometallic complex [Fe2CoO(CH3COO)6(3-Cl-Py)3]. The parameters for Fe-Fe and Fe-Co exchange interactions are revealed and the crucial role of the orbital angular momentum of Co(II) ion and spin-orbit coupling is highlighted.
