Abstract

A consistent time-domain framework for (non-uniform) array antenna performance estimation is discussed. The features that are specific to the time-domain operation of array antennas are stressed. The analogies with typical frequency-domain, monochromatic array behaviour and metrics are examined. The work is intended to provide guidelines for the design and optimisation of pulsed array antennas.
