Abstract
Microwave irradiation of Nb-InAs-Nb single-junctions demonstrates that the half-integer Shapiro step is caused by ac nonequilibrium supercurrents. In addition, nonequilibrium dc supercurrents are observed as a conductance enhancement around zero bias. Both effects persist to temperatures well above the disappearance of the equilibrium critical current and integer Shapiro step.
