Abstract

A novel equivalent diagram of a solar cell is developed. The solar cell is represented as a usual element of a power system, i. e. , it is represented by a voltage source and two internal resistances, which are determined from short-circuit and open-circuit tests. The diagram allows engineers and researchers to use the ordinary calculation and design techniques for the analysis of circuits with solar cells.
