Novel pre distortion for mach-zendher modulator based on symmetric imbalance

Abstract

A new approach for MZM predistortion is proposed. The method replaces the push-pull configuration with an imbalance which compensates overall impairments and can be applied for improving manufacturing variances regardless of distortion mechanism.
