Nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of telomers (oligomers) of vinyl acetate

Abstract

1. The authors have obtained and identified the high-resolution NMR spectra of the telomerization products of vinyl acetate in CCl4. The mean degrees of polymerization n of these telomers (oligomers) were between 2.5 and 30. 2. The n values calculated from the ratio of the areas of signals of the methine groups of the telomer chain and different end groups exhibit close mutual agreement and also agree with the ultimate analysis data.
