Abstract

We have suggested a method for magnetic sorting of cell suspensions capable of differentiating not only the cells with a single specific antigen on their surface, but also those with a group of given antigens. Individually, each antigen of this group could be present on the surfaces of undesired cells. However, only the simultaneous presence of all the given antigens on the cell surface indicates that such a cell should be separated. The method is of interest for purification of cell suspensions from malignant cells—in particular, for purification of bone marrow material for autologous transplantation in leukemia.
