Abstract
A method of multi-frequency induction heating using frequency-modulated electric current in a heater-solenoid is proposed. Electrodynamic and thermal problems are formulated and solved. Spectral characteristics of currents in a heated cylindrical body are evaluated, and temperature dependencies for sinusoidal and frequency-modulated currents are presented.
