Abstract
Two oscillator models with abrupt nonlinearities in their damping stabilization terms are suggested and considered. The abrupt nonlinearities investigated are those of half-wave rectification. Certain practical implications of the models are discussed, among them the possibility of stabilizing an oscillator waveform at only one half of its waveform while leaving it free running at the other half.
